After Darkness, Light

Post Tenebras Lux

Confidently Standing for Christ through Confessional Clarity

Rekindling the Five Solas through confessional Protestant Christianity.

Post Tenebras Lux exists to call Christians back to the gospel light recovered in the Reformation: Scripture alone, Christ alone, grace alone, faith alone, and glory to God alone.

We are a confessionally rooted, Reformation-minded Protestant fellowship seeking to strengthen believers with biblical authority, gospel clarity, historic confessional roots, and charitable Christian conviction in a dark and drifting age.

Why PTL Exists

PTL was born from a pastoral burden to see Christians, especially younger believers, anchored in the truth of Christ rather than carried away by shallow evangelicalism, false gospels, cultural confusion, or religious novelty.

In 1996, the Cambridge Declaration called the evangelical church back to the doctrines recovered in the Reformation. Thirty years later, that call remains urgent. PTL seeks to rekindle that call through Scripture, the Five Solas, and the faithful confessional witness of Protestant Christianity.

Our aim: Confessional Clarity for Christ.

The church does not merely need Reformation slogans. She needs Reformation substance.

The Five Solas are not empty banners. They are truths to be believed, confessed, defended, preached, sung, prayed, and handed down to the next generation.

The Gospel Light of the Reformation

Sola Scriptura

Scripture Alone

God’s written Word is the final authority for Christian faith, worship, doctrine, and life.

Solus Christus

Christ Alone

Jesus Christ alone is our sufficient Savior, Mediator, Priest, Sacrifice, Lord, and King.

Sola Gratia

Grace Alone

Salvation is of the Lord from beginning to end, not merely helped by grace but accomplished by grace.

Sola Fide

Faith Alone

Sinners are justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, apart from works as the ground of acceptance.

Soli Deo Gloria

Glory to God Alone

All doctrine, worship, ministry, and life exist for the glory of the triune God.

Confessional Protestant Christianity

PTL believes Scripture alone is the final, infallible authority. Faithful Protestant confessions do not stand above Scripture; they stand beneath Scripture as public, tested, accountable summaries of biblical truth.

Confessions help the church define doctrine clearly, guard against error, teach the next generation, preserve gospel clarity, and connect believers to the historic Protestant witness.

  • Augsburg Confession and Lutheran confessional tradition
  • Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, and Canons of Dort
  • Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms
  • Second London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689
  • Thirty-Nine Articles and historic Protestant Anglican witness

PTL leans Reformed Baptist in conviction while welcoming serious, charitable Protestant discussion across confessional lines.

Conviction without cruelty. Clarity without arrogance.

PTL is not a cage-stage Calvinist fight club, a personality platform, an anti-Catholic rant page, or a replacement for the local church.

We desire serious doctrine that produces humility, worship, courage, holiness, and love. We aim to speak clearly about false gospels without becoming quarrelsome, and to defend the truth because we love Christ and His church.
